Bitching Hour #2: Getting to Know the B Hour Girls
This week, we figured that we would introduce ourselves and the kinds of things you're going to hear us bitching about, because isn't that the whole point of this thing? There are so many expectations put on us to be a certain way, act a certain way, don't get upset, or at the very least, don't show your emotions. So, this is the place we're going to do that because sometimes, you just gotta let it out, dammit. Now, we won't be listing our cornucopia of complaints, because that would spoil the fun of upcoming posts and the eventual (hopeful?) podcast and let's be honest, this post would be way too long. This should however, give you a good idea of who we are, and what bothers us the most, so that even one person reading might think "Hey! That really bothers me too!" and not feel like a terrible person for thinking it.

I'm one of those people whom you either love or hate. There's usually no in-between feelings when it comes to me, and I'm totally OK with that. Some people just don't get me. I'm a nerdy hippie, and I don't think that those two things are mutually exclusive. I'm definitely more of an indoors girl; I love nothing more than snuggling up with a good book. But, I'll also take my yoga mat outside to harness Mother Nature's energy (yes I say things like that). I'm probably a typical millennial mom. The only plastic my baby comes in contact with is BPA free (we prefer glass) and she eats better than I do. And yes, we love avocado toast. I love traveling and cats. And my husband, haha. He's pretty great. Although, I will probably bitch about him on a regular occasion.
Hmm... I feel like I have so many things to bitch about. What a privilege, right? To have a great life, but still be able to come up with a million reasons to complain. Some of my pet peeves are trivial, others are more on a global scale. I'll start with the small things and work my way up.

My favorite things to bitch about:
- People who don't use their turn signal. Since moving to Texas, I've noticed that it's kind of an epidemic here. Not safe, y'all! (see what I did there?)
- People who say ignorant things. Please do your research before making any kind of statement. Do not just parrot what your parents believe or what you've heard on the news. I will call you out.
- Why are books so expensive? I mean, I prefer an actual book over an eBook on my iPad, but I'm on a budget!
- Why is eating healthy so expensive? Don't even get me started on my conspiracy theory that the government wants us to be unhealthy so that we keep putting money into our broken healthcare system...
- LITTERING! Why. Just why. Did you see that garbage can right next to you? Are you purposely ignoring it because you're a d-bag? Or do you believe in some magical litter fairies? "Jerk" *I say to myself as I walk over and throw out some stranger's possibly contaminated piece of garbage*
- ENTITLEMENT. Yes, I was born between 1985-1995 making me a "millennial", but no I do not feel that I am entitled to anything, and neither should you. We are all the center of our own universe, but little specks in the grander scheme of things. The world doesn't owe you anything. If you want it, work for it.
- IGNORANCE. This seems to be an epidemic in today's society. Everyone from co-workers to world leaders saying and doing stupid things. Things that affect people or things that no one should even be uttering in 2017. What is the world coming to?
That should do it for now, folks! I'm sufficiently worked up and need to go meditate for a few minutes before heading into the office...

I tend to be pretty direct and don't sugar coat things which can offend some people. I'm usually pretty good at thinking before I speak though. My feeling is that if someone has a problem with something I'm saying it's because they're doing something wrong. I've always loved calling people out for their shit and confronting lies! It's such an adrenaline rush for me! Yes, I am lame and find pleasure in different things.
I don't really know what to say about myself...I love the outdoors, yoga, reading, baking and DIY projects! I'm super busy planning my wedding which is April 14, 2018. I can totally understand why people elope or get a wedding planner. Tim (my fiancé) has been helpful and goes along with what I want for the most part. What do you think about a donut set up instead of cake ? I'm really trying to convince him to do this and he's just not feeling it. They're not just any old donuts either...They're very popular in Buffalo and delicious! He says it's not fitting to have donuts at our wedding but I really don't care what people think, it's my wedding! No I'm not a bridezilla but there are certain things I want a certain way. We'll be very lucky if my mother makes it to my wedding. At the rate she's going with trying to butt in and go behind my back to do things she won't be invited!
I like to plans thing out, be organized and think ahead. Tim says I'm "dependable and steady". I think that's a nice way of saying boring but I like consistency in life!

My favorite things to bitch about:
- Other drivers - not using turn signals, speeding, not going the speed limit, merging, traffic circles - Ok so clearly I have some road rage issues. I like to yell and swear at people while I'm driving. I've contemplated making signs and holding them up to certain people when I pass them haha (jk kind of)
- Google educated people - People that are educated strictly through google or FB even that take a stand against something like vaccinations. I totally respect other people's choices and beliefs but come on do some real research about whatever you're choosing to back.
- Why do developers keep building these new "build to suit" buildings that they rent out when there are hundreds of abandoned store fronts and old walmart buildings that could be utilized instead of taking up more land for corporate development.
- Nicknames - why do people call people an abbreviation of their full name before they get to know someone ? I CAN'T stand people calling me Pat or Patty. Don't just assume what to call someone!
That's really just a short snippet of some of my pet peeves. I don't really have a list...things just irritate the heck out of me as it happens. I'll start making note of them.
Hopefully we'll be recording soon!
Namaste!
